Miranda Barnes, LCSW
The focus of my work is you. I enjoy deep conversations and discussions about life, relationships, and the pursuit of happiness. My approach aims to assist you in learning to modify dysfunctional thought patterns, identify and replace self-defeating or rigid patterns in life, and ultimately learn to love, accept, and validate yourself. I work with adult individuals, couples, and children and adolescents (ages 8-14) coping with everyday life stress and experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, difficult family dynamics, low self-esteem, and lack of self-care. I have a special interest in treating couples with communication breakdown and intimacy difficulties.
When working with people such as yourself, I aim to create a space where you can share whatever you choose to share without fear of judgment. I am sure most people have heard the term “it’s a safe space.” Ok, everything we talk about is confidential with some limitations that will be discussed during our first talk. My top priority is to listen, support, encourage, and empower you to become your best version of yourself.
“Talk to yourself like you would to someone you love.” -Brene Brown
