Dr. Viken Yacoubian, Ph.D.

Dr. Yacoubian earned his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the APA accredited program of the University of Southern California (USC). He is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT). His research and academic interests include psychodynamic and existential theories, vicarious traumatic experiences, and, racial, ethnic, and cultural identity development. He has authored many articles and participated in local and international conferences and symposia. He is an authority in the area of ethnic and racial identity development of Armenians in the Diaspora. Dr. Yacoubian is a member of several professional organizations including the Board of Behavioral Sciences (Marriage and Family Therapists) and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). He has also served as a panel member for the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). He has been a licensed psychotherapist for over 20 years with vast experience in the treatment of mental health issues.
